Home Cleaners Casula and house cleaning tips when vacuuming

Thursday, July 12, 2012

Before you vacuum pick up any small, hard objects, such as pins, buttons, coins or gravel. They can easily clog the hose and filter or, even worse, damage the fan and motor. Take chairs, footrests and waste paper baskets out of the room or set them on larger furniture to minimise furniture moving.

Adjust the nozzle of your upright vacuum so that it is in close contact with the carpet pile. If the nozzle is too low, it will make the vacuum hard to push. If the nozzle is too high, air will enter the vacuum above the carpet instead of being pulled through the carpet. Also, the brushes won't reach dirt that is embedded in the pile.
